Meet Jessica

Aligned Body Guide | Spiritual Life Guide| Energy Healer | Hypnotherapist

It happened slowly.

Through pain. Through questions. Through choices. Through learning to listen to a body I had spent years feeling disconnected from.

Through releasing the belief that I had to become someone completely different before I could finally feel whole.

My journey to SoulRoot Wellness began long before I had a business, a title, or a clear understanding of where I was going.

For a long time, I was simply trying to survive my own life.

Today, I understand that survival was not the end of my story.

It was the place where I began.

I didn't find my way back to myself all at once.

I Know What It Feels Like to Lose Yourself

There was a time when I didn't recognize my own life.

I was living with pain, health challenges, major life changes, and the emotional weight of experiences that had changed me in ways I didn't yet understand. I remember wondering, How will I ever get through this?

I wondered if I would ever be happy like everyone else. If anyone would ever truly love me. I remember thinking, I'm disabled. I can't be full of joy anymore.

There were moments when I questioned whether I even wanted to be here.

I don't share this because I want to be defined by the darkest moments of my life. I share it because I know I am not the only person who has ever felt disconnected from their body, their life, or themselves and wondered:

How did I get here—and how do I find my way back?

After years of doctors, hospitals, surgeries, injections, medications, and searching for answers, I reached a point where I had to become honest with myself.

What I was being told I should do was not always matching what I was experiencing in my own body.

I realized I could continue waiting for someone else to tell me how to feel better—or I could begin learning how to participate in my own health.

That decision changed everything.

My Body Became My Teacher

My own health journey led me deeply into nutrition and the relationship between food, blood sugar, inflammation, energy, and the way I felt in my body.

I began paying attention to how different foods affected me. I explored fasting. I made significant changes to the way I nourished myself. I lost approximately 90 pounds and began feeling different physically.

But the physical changes were only the beginning.

As my body began to change, I could no longer ignore the other parts of me that needed attention—my emotions, my thoughts, my relationships, my beliefs, my past, my spirituality, my energy, and my sense of purpose.

I began to understand that nutrition is not about finding the perfect diet or following one set of rules.

It is about becoming more informed, more aware, and more connected to your own body.

What works for one person may not work for another. Our bodies, histories, lifestyles, needs, and experiences are all different.

That is why nutrition remains such an important part of the way I view wellness today.

I don't believe in handing people a one-size-fits-all list of rules and calling it wellness.

I believe in helping people learn to understand themselves.

Healing Became Bigger Than My Body

The deeper I went into my own healing, the more I realized that we are not separate pieces.

We are not a body over here, emotions over there, and spirituality somewhere else.

Everything is connected.

Our physical health matters. The way we nourish ourselves matters. Our thoughts, emotions, relationships, environment, purpose, joy, spirituality, energy, and relationship with ourselves all matter, too.

This is what whole-person wellness means to me.

Not perfection.

Not having every area of life perfectly balanced.

It means becoming curious about where we are, understanding what may be influencing how we feel, and becoming more intentional about the direction we want to move.

I began to understand that healing was not about creating a brand-new version

of myself.

It was about coming home to the parts of myself I had abandoned, silenced,

or forgotten.

That journey is still unfolding.

I am still learning.

Still growing.

Still becoming.

And I believe that is part of what makes this work meaningful.

I am not standing at the top of a mountain telling you how to get there. I am still climbing, too. I’ve simply learned a few things along the way about listening to my body, finding my footing, trusting my inner wisdom, and continuing forward when I couldn't yet see the path ahead. As I began listening more deeply to myself, I was led to study health and nutrition, which opened the door to spiritual coaching and continued learning in the mind, body, energy, and deeper layers of healing. I don't have every answer, and I don't believe anyone does. But if you're ready to take the next step, I would be honored to walk beside you for a while.

Why SoulRoot Wellness Exists

SoulRoot Wellness was born from the understanding that lasting wellness begins beneath the surface.

The roots matter.

Our physical health matters. But so do the thoughts we carry, the emotions we hold, the relationships we experience, the environments we live in, the purpose we feel, the joy we allow, the nourishment we choose, and our connection to something deeper than ourselves.

When we only focus on what is visible, we can miss what is actually asking for our attention underneath.

That is the heart of SoulRoot Wellness:

To look deeper. To become curious. To reconnect. To support the whole person.

As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Certified Spiritual Life Coach, Aligned Body Guide, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Energy Healer, I bring together the different areas of wellness that have shaped my own journey.

My work is informed by nutrition, lifestyle, mindset, emotional wellness, spirituality, energy, self-awareness, and the mind-body connection.

But my greatest teacher has been my own life.

Maybe you feel disconnected from yourself.

Maybe you feel like your body has changed and you don't know how to find your way back.

Maybe you have tried everything and still don't feel like yourself.

Maybe you are tired of being told what you should do.

Maybe you know you need a change but don't know where to begin.

Maybe you have spent so much time caring for everyone else that you don't know what it feels like to choose yourself anymore.

Maybe you are simply ready to understand yourself more deeply.

If You Are Somewhere I Once Was

If any of that feels familiar, I want you to know this:

You are not behind.

You are not too far gone.

You are not your diagnosis.

You are not your past.

You are not the labels other people have placed on you.

And your current chapter is not the entire story.

There is still more of you here.

More strength.

More possibility.

More life.

More joy.

More becoming.

You Are Not Here to Become Someone Else

I believe there is a difference between changing yourself and returning to yourself.

Changing yourself because you believe you are not enough is rooted in shame.

Returning to yourself is rooted in remembering.

Remembering your worth, your voice, your strength, your joy.

Remembering that you are allowed to take up space in your own life.

I believe every person deserves to know that they are not only loved...

but that they are love itself.

That belief is at the heart of the way I live, the way I guide, and the reason SoulRoot Wellness exists.

I don't promise to have every answer.

I don't believe anyone does.

What I can promise is that I will meet you where you are. I will listen. I will see you as a whole person. I will encourage you, challenge you when you need to be challenged, celebrate your growth, and remind you of your strength when you temporarily forget it.

Your journey is yours.

I am simply honored to walk beside you for a part of it.
